Who is Melissa Caddick’s husband Anthony Koletti?

Anthony Koletti is a hairdresser and DJ from Australia.

He was married to Melissa Caddick who was posing as a financial adviser.

Melissa was running a Ponzi scheme, scamming her family and friends out of millions of dollars.

After her disappearance and the subsequent exposure of her fraud, Koletti lost his wife and his home and everything he knew.

Daily Mail Australia reported he was ridiculed and shamed, being called a “toyboy” and “house husband”.

Since Melissa’s crimes came to light, it took Koletti a couple of years to find his feet again.

He eventually got a job in a salon as a hairdresser and he moved into a flat with Melissa’s son.

Koletti and Melissa did not share any children.

Melissa had a son from a previous relationship who was 14 years old at the time of her disappearance.

Koletti now takes care of Melissa’s son, despite his biological father living in Sydney.

Koletti said: “It’s an honour to raise Melissa’s son.”

What has Anthony Koletti said about Melissa Caddick’s disappearance?

Melissa disappeared in the early hours on November 12, 2020.

Hours before her disappearance, her house was raided by the Australian Federal Police.

They were acting on behalf of the corporate regulator, ASIC, due to a $23million Ponzi scheme Melissa had been running since 2012.

It appeared that most of her victims had been family and friends.

In February 2021 a severed foot was washed on shore on a remote beach, and was linked to Melissa by DNA.

On Thursday, May 25, 2023, a coroner ruled that Melissa is dead.

Coroner Elizabeth Ryan said: “The conclusion I have reached is that Melissa Caddick is deceased.

She added: “I do not consider the evidence enables a positive finding as to how she died, or when and where this happened.”

Koletti maintained the belief that his wife died “as a direct result of ASIC’s negligence, cruelty and inhumanity”.

He told the Mail that when Melissa’s foot as found he knew in his heart she was “no longer on the Earth”.

He added: “When I spoke with police that day, I knew she was gone. I felt it inside my heart.”

Speaking on the low possibility of knowing what happened to her he said not knowing was a blessing in disguise.

He said: “Do I feel like I’ll ever get answers? No, I don’t.”
