Man Utd takeover news LIVE: Real look to scupper Kane transfer, United qualify for Champions League, Abraham linked

MORNING UTD FANS

Manchester United sealed Champions League qualification with a 4-1 victory over Chelsea at Old Trafford.

United climbed to third place and are set to return to Europe’s premiere competition next season.

Casemiro opened the scoring after just six minutes and Anthony Martial doubled the Red Devils’ lead in the fifth minute of stoppage time.

Bruno Fernandes sealed the win from the penalty spot in the 73rd minute before Marcus Rashford added the fourth just five minutes later.

Joao Felix came off the bench and eased the pain for the Blues one minute before full-time.

Meanwhile, Tottenham superstar Harry Kane has been offered to Real Madrid as Daniel Levy bids to derail a move to United.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Spurs have actively sought out Real to avoid having to sell Kane to a direct rival.

The same report claims Los Blancos are seriously considering a proposal as they look for a striker to compete with Karim Benzema.

The report adds that Eden Hazard could be involved in negotiations to help cheapen the England skipper’s price.

And Chelsea star Mason Mount is “leaning” towards United as his preferred next club.

It comes after the Red Devils were said to be preparing a ÂŁ55million bid for Mount this summer.

According to The Athletic, the playmaker prefers a move to Old Trafford, with talks between the Blues and the Manchester giants set to commence in due course.

Arsenal, Liverpool and Bayern Munich are also said to be aware of the England international’s preference.

Finally, United are “on the brink” of landing Napoli star Kim Min-jae.

The Red Devils are understood to be willing to pay Kim’s £40m asking price, which becomes active in July.

According to Corriere dello Sport, the centre-back will fly to Manchester when the summer transfer window opens to finalise his move to Old Trafford.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano added that United have begun talks with the South Korea international to discuss contract, salary and housing arrangements.

Attempts by Napoli to hand the 26-year-old a new deal and remove the clause have proved unsuccessful.
