The first governor of Kano State’s wife, Ladi Bako, passed away at the age of 93.

On Wednesday, April 5, her daughter Zainab Bako confirmed the death to reporters, saying the nonagenarian passed away in Kano’s Prime Specialty Hospital after a lengthy illness.
At Kofar Kudu, Kano’s Emir’s Palace, she will be laid to rest.
From May 1967 until July 1975, her husband served as the military governor of the former Kano State.
