Photos from the Plateau Speaker’s first assembly in 18 months

Rt Hon Abok Nuhu Ayuba, the awhile back Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, led other members of the house today in holding plenary sessions at the house for the first time following his purported 18-month suspension.
Rt Hon Abok took over the speaker’s office after being reappointed by the court in a decision rendered by Justice Nafisat Lawal Musa on Monday. He then resumed his duties as speaker of the house.
The Speaker of the 9th Assembly welcomed everyone back to a regular Plenary after 18 months of legislative standstill, saying: “I wish to welcome back all honorable members and personnel of the House. The plenaries will begin in October 2021, where they left off 18 months prior.

The Plateau State House of Assembly’s Session was presided over by The Committee on a Bill for a Legislation to Establish a Plateau State Social Investment Plan (PLASSIP) and Other Issues Connected was also adopted by Speaker, Rt Hon Abok Nuhu Ayuba, and it passed the committee stage.
