Caleb Mutfwang, GCM, the newly elected governor of Plateau State, has received congratulations from former military head of state and founding father of the country General Yakubu Gowon on the historic event of his victory in last month’s gubernatorial elections and the subsequent announcement by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
When the Governor-elect visited General Yakubu Gowon at his residence in Abuja, he gave him a message of congratulations and goodwill.
The former head of state stated that he thinks God grants authority to anyone he chooses, as seen by the electorate’s choice in Plateau, and he made clear that he has no qualms about endorsing the governor-elect and the new government.
Barr. Caleb Mutfwang (BCM), the Executive Governor-elect of Plateau State, promised to properly engage with the former military leader and other respectable leaders in the State for advice and senior counsel going forward. He paid a visit to General Gowon as a mark of respect and honor.
Representatives for the Riyom/Barkin-Ladi Federal Constituency, Senator-elect for Plateau North, Hon. Simon Mwadkwon, Arch. Sam Jatau, and Mr. Yari Kumchi were with him during the visit.
