Peter Obi reacted after ladies in Nasarawa State stripped down to protest the rigged governorship election, which they believe.
The Labour Party candidate for president described the naked protestor recordings as “sad” and “heartbreaking.”
He stated: “I just saw a sad, devastating video of women from Nasarawa staging a topless protest to express their discontent with the election results.
“Elections are held in order for voters to choose the representatives who will represent them in democratic government. When voters are denied the chance to cast their ballots in a legitimate, free, and open election or when their mandate is taken from them, this is a grave injustice.
“Our women, who ought to be honored, respected, and have their rights upheld, have instead been treated poorly, leaving them with little choice but to turn to their Creator in order to seek redress.
“I’m still dedicated to having 40% of women in political appointments, and I’ll push for the same in the business sphere. As a Nation, we must improve and make sure that the people’s mandate is not taken away from them.
