In order to challenge the results of the presidential election on February 28, 2023, Labour Party candidate for president Peter Obi has formally filed a case with the Presidential election tribunal.
‘’I can tell you categorically that we have submitted and filed our case against the election that took place on the 25th of February and this is official.”
This was revealed by Dr. Yunusa, the top spokesperson for the Labour Party’s Obi-Datti presidential campaign, during his appearance on Arise TV this morning, March 21.
‘’No but INEC was able to give us the summary result sheet of what was pronounced on that day. The lawyers have made it clear that we will get all that we can get from INEC and we will demand for the remaining document that is required for the legal team to prosecute its case”
Tanko responded when asked if the party had access to all of the BVAS, or Bimodal Voters Accreditation Systems, utilized during the election and required to prove its claims.
