Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the governor of Lagos State, has won the election for governor in all 18 of the state’s local governments.
The results of 19 of the 20 local governments in Lagos have been officially declared, despite the fact that the final results are still being tallied at the INEC state headquarters in Yaba.
18 of the local governments were won by Mr. Sanwo-Olu of the APC, and one, Amuwo Odofin, was won by Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of the PDP.
In Ikeja, Apapa, Badagry, Lagos Island, Epe, Agege, Ibeju-lekki, Kosofe, Surulere, and Somolu, the incumbent governor received the most votes.
The election for governor in each of the state’s 18 local governments was won by Lagos State’s governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
The final results are still being counted at the INEC state headquarters in Yaba, but the results of 19 of the 20 local governments in Lagos have been officially announced.
Mr. Sanwo-Olu of the APC won 18 of the local governments, and Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of the PDP won Amuwo Odofin.
The incumbent governor won the most votes in Ikeja, Apapa, Badagry, Lagos Island, Epe, Agege, Ibeju-lekki, Kosofe, Surulere, and Somolu.
At the time of this publication, the outcome of one local government area, Eti Osa, was still pending.
The Eti-Osa result would not be available until 5 p.m., according to INEC state collation officer Adenike Oladigi, because some voters are still casting ballots there.
According to PREMIUM TIMES, INEC postponed voting in Victoria Garden City in Eti-Osa until today as a result of a dispute between locals and INEC officials.
