Naira crisis shouldn’t have reached unbearable height before Buhari, CBN’s intervention – Expert

The CEO of SD&D Capital Management Limited, Mr. Idakolo Gabriel Gbolade, is an expert in financial inclusion and wealth management. He claims that the Naira crisis should not have reached such an unpleasant level until the government intervened.

This information was made public by Idakolo on Monday as reactions to the Central Bank of Nigeria’s acceptance of the use of the old N200, N500, and N1000 notes persisted.

The financial expert continued by saying that it is inconceivable for a democratically elected government to see its people endure hardship for an extended period of time.

He claimed that a compassionate administration wouldn’t let its people suffer without acting quickly.

He indicated that the economic impact of the crisis would last for a very long period in Nigeria.

The economy is getting worse, which is made worse by the slow action taken to carry out the Supreme Court’s decision. Before the central bank of Nigeria and President Buhari respond, the shortage of fresh Naira notes won’t have reached an intolerable level, he said.

Remember that the CBN, in compliance with the Supreme Court’s March 3 judgement, approved the acceptance of old N500 and N1000 notes as legal tender until December 31.
