Chukwudi Ogbonna, a candidate for the Accord Party in the March 18 election for the Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni sin Local Government Area Constituency 2 in the Rivers State House of Assembly, has been abducted by unidentified gunmen.

According to information obtained by Vanguard, Ogbonna was allegedly kidnapped on Monday night in Rumuigbo, close to Port Harcourt, when gunmen forced him to stop and took off with his car.
Ifeaka Nwakiri, a relative of Ogbonna, confirmed the event to reporters on Tuesday morning: “They abducted him with his Mercedes automobile. We have informed the Karnataka Police of the situation.
