Armed robbers enter the village of Ibadan and use POS

On Saturday morning, intrepid armed robbers entered the Eleshin at Olomo neighborhood in the Apete, Ido Local Government Area of Oyo State and carried off their heist using a point-of-sale equipment.

According to our correspondent’s inquiry, the criminals assaulted the area about one in the morning and used the POS system to steal money from the unwary victims.

The BANG Metro has since learned that the unpleasant incident has paralyzed the entire neighborhood as people flee in palpable terror.

The armed robbers arrived in the area sometime between midnight and one in the morning, according to a resident who did not want his identity published. They had complete freedom. They arrived with POS and moved an amount of money from one of their victims’ accounts, which cannot now be determined. Also, they removed an undisclosed sum of money from his wife’s account before leaving. They left with two phones as well, the iPhone 11 Pro Max and the XS Max, the person continued.

According to reports, the incident was reported to the Apete Divisional Police Command.

Adewale Osifeso, the state police public relations officer, could not be reached for comment as of Sunday night’s deadline.
