Bashir, the son of Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, claimed that Rabiu Kwankwaso of the NNPP would succeed President Muhammadu Buhari as leader of the country.
In praising Kwankwaso for the outcome of the presidential election, he revealed this.
After Peter Obi of the Labour Party, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, and Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, Kwankwaso finished fourth in the just ended presidential election.
Kwankwaso received the majority of votes in Kano State during the election, which led some detractors to refer to him as the “President of Kano.”
“People joking at Kwankwaso that he is simply the President of Kano State will not be laughing so much in a few years,” Bashir stated in a tweet. He could succeed Buhari as president.
